NYC RC remote control airplane LAWS? parks?

hi there, does anybody know about any laws to fly remote control airplans in new york city? i live in brooklyn, and i would like to fly in a park? i saw some good electric remote control airplanes and i always wanted to fly one……………..but im not sure if im allowed?

Under the NYC Parks and regulations code, the following is prohibited:

"(e) Aviation

No person shall voluntarily bring, land or cause to alight within or upon any park, any airplane, balloon, parachute, hang glider, or other aerial device, except that certain areas may be designated appropriate landing places for medical evacuation helicopters."

This would seem to prohibit it. A couple of years ago, I had asked about the possibility of launching model rockets in Prospect Park. I was told by a Parks Administration employee that it is not permitted and they will not issue permits.

However, there may be some exception for RC airplanes that I'm unaware about. Check out the link below for contact numbers, and ask away!
